If you’ve ever met Hayes, two things are abundantly clear: he approaches everything with a musician’s mentality and he will always be the nicest guy in the room.

Born with music in his veins, Hayes made All-State Band in high-school and toured the U.S. for ten years with his band, The Ernies, which included a stint on Universal Records and a feature in the original Tony Hawk video game. Hayes even shared the stage with James Brown (see fuzzy picture proof below).

In 2012, he took all the skills he learned on the road and brought them into the studio. In between commercial post-production audio work, Hayes has collaborated with many national musicians as a session player, on-stage performer and co-collaborator.

When he’s not doing audio-musical things, you’ll find him obsessing over his ever-growing plant collection or that elusive 10-lb ShareLunker bass at Lake Fork that’s eluded him for years.
